John Splinter leads the National Coalition's St. Louis office as Executive Director.

Born in Redwing, MN, John has always lived in the Central United States, with years in Winnipeg, Canada, Minneapolis, St. Louis, and La Crosse.

His academic training includes a B.A. from Bethel College in St. Paul; Masters in Christian Education from Bethel Seminary; Masters in counseling psychology from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO; and Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Louis University.

His first ten years in ministry were with Young Life, as Area Director in Winnipeg and then St. Louis.  Upon leaving Young Life, John spent four years in the commercial property/casualty insurance world.  The Lord then led him to Central Presbyterian Church, where John served for fifteen years as Director of Singles Ministries.

The Lord then led John to La Crosse, WI, where he became senior pastor at Bethany Evangelical Free Church.  After five years at that church, John became founding pastor of Point of Grace Community Church, also in La Crosse, where he served four years.

John has published three books: two on divorce recovery and one on recovery after sexual abuse.  The Lord has called him to numerous short-term missions ministries.  For a few years he was the chaplain to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL).  He was a founding member of the Network of Single Adults, and is the author and founder of Second Chapter divorce recovery ministries.

John is married to his college sweetheart, Marcia.  They have three married daughters and seven grandchildren.
