Seattle— The faith community can learn more about responding to those affected by sexual addiction on Friday April 28, 2006 at the “Sexual Addiction: The Christian’s Drug of Choice” conference from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Newport Covenant Church in Bellevue, Washington.
Led by the National Coalition for the Protection of Children & Families in partnership with Prodigals International, the workshop will feature leading sexual addiction specialists and counseling experts.
This seminar will provide information, in-depth training and resources to counselors, marriage and family therapists and clinical social workers who work with sexual addiction and co-addiction. Additionally, pastors will come away from this conference better equipped to deal with the issues surrounding sexual addiction in their church.
Sharon Borntrager, director of Victim Assistance for the National Coalition, will be a featured speaker at the conference with Richard Blankenship, a certified clinical sexual addiction specialist with Faithful and True Ministries.
The seminar is open to the public and costs $90 before April 18, 2006 or $110 thereafter. Continuing Education Units are available for $15. Reservations are required.
This conference has been approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors.
