KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

LINDA COLE is co-author of "The Shadow Christian," a riveting inside look at a marriage shattered by pornography and restored by the power of God's grace. Linda shares her inspiring story of heartache and healing at conferences, colleges and churches throughout the nation.

 Linda's Message:  Through Troubled Waters

Shock, grief, confusion, anger. Why would God give me a man in marriage who would break my heart? When God restores a relationship, it becomes strong and the bond of love grows deeper. However, no one said it would be easy!

AL COLE is the former executive director of the Atlanta Office of the National Coalition for the Protection of Children & Families. He and Linda work together to raise awareness about the harms of pornography as well as establishing support groups for men and women whose lives have been devastated by sexual sin. Al is co-author of "The Shadow Christian."

Al's Message: What A Truly Repentant Man Looks Like

Al talks candidly about how to know if your husband is truly repentant. Afterward, he and Linda will answer questions from the audience. Nothing is off limits!

In addition to hearing personal stories from women and couples who are on their own journey from heartache to hope, Restoring Hearts offers more than fifteen workshops led by Christian therapists and ministry leaders. Breakout sessions include:

First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue
1717 Bellevue Way NE

Presented by: *Christian Network Forum for Sexual Health
Featured Presenter: Dave Browning

Dave is the Lead Pastor of Christ the King Community Church, a multi-location church with a culture of recovery that has emanated from Dave's personal story of brokenness. Dave grew up in a traditional, conservative church where he became an expert at "impression management." His first pastorate ended in devastation when an affair came to light. Dave says, "Having the mask ripped off was simultaneously the worst thing that ever happened to me, and the best thing that ever happened to me." Dave has devoted his life to creating communities of love, acceptance and forgiveness.

Pastors and lay leaders are encouraged to attend this FREE event.

Exhibits will be in place featuring local ministries and Christian programs to allow you to network with those who specialize in Christian recovery. To reserve a display table, contact Brenda Hyer at 206-686-3093 or brenda@nationalcoalition.org

 * The National Coalition is part of the Christian Network Forum for Sexual Health, a collaboration of Christian leaders and Christian therapists uniting existing resources for the purpose of addressing sexual addiction and recovery. Discovering a spouse's struggle with sexual integrity can be one of the most challenging experiences a woman can face. Quite often, women feel they are alone in their journey and that everyone, including God, has abandoned them.

In order to provide hope, support and encouragement to women who are on this journey, we are pleased to offer a monthly email newsletter called "Hope Connection." Each monthly issue includes:
  • An inspiration devotional.
  • A step that women can take to heal their hearts.
  • Answers to common questions wives have about their husband's purity.
  • A testimony of one woman's healing journey.
