Outrageous Ruling Gives Elementary Schools Permission to Administer Sex Surveys

In an outrageous ruling, the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said parents in California's Palmdale school district do not have the "fundamental right...to be the exclusive provider of information regarding sexual matters to their children." Instead, Judge Stephen Reinhardt gave elementary schools the authority to administer sex surveys to first, third and fifth graders, asking them, among other sexual questions, if they "can't stop thinking about sex." Concerned parents have filed a law suit against the school and the courts will rehear the case and hopefully reverse its decision. Please visit 9thcircus.com for more information on how to support these concerned parents as they fight for the innocence of our children.

Massachusetts to Possibly Repeal Same-Sex Marriage in 2008

VoteOnMarriage.org, a family advocacy coalition, has accumulated twice the number of signatures to allow Massachusetts citizens to vote on a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. If passed in 2008, Massachusetts will add its name to the list of 19 states that already passed a constitutional amendment defining marriage as the exclusive relationship between one man and one woman. Read the National Coalition's booklet Thinking Critically, Acting Compassionately by S. Michael Craven, vice president of Religious & Cultural Affairs, for a Christian response to homosexuality. The booklet stresses that Christians are called not only to speak out against the homosexual agenda with truth but also to be the instruments of Christ's love to those involved in the homosexual lifestyle.

New Study Examines Increase of Sex on TV

The Kaiser Family Foundation released a new study examining sexual content on television. As predicted, the percentage of TV shows with sexual content has increased, and the number of sexual scenes per show has nearly doubled since 1998. From previous studies we know teens exposed to more sexual content are twice as likely to engage in sexual activity. As this content on TV continues to increase, our youth are placed in greater danger. The National Coalition's Sex & Young America curriculum details the sexual pressures teens face today and helps parents effectively discuss these difficult issues with their teens.
