Cincinnati -- Spokespersons from the National Coalition for the Protection of Children & Families are available to give comment on the Lifetime Original Movie Cyber Seduction set to premiere Monday June 20 at 9 p.m. EST.
Speakers on hand to discuss issues related to Internet pornography include:
- Rick Schatz, president and CEO. Schatz provides expertise on the addictive nature of pornography and the harms associated with sexual addiction;
- Jack Samad, senior vice president of Strategic Partnerships and Internet Safety. Considered an expert on the Internet and other emerging technologies that contribute to the distribution of pornography, Samad spearheaded the National Coalition's website www.filterreview.com which provides Internet filtering devices that help protect children from online pornography;
- S. Michael Craven, vice president of Religious & Cultural Affairs. Author of Pornography: The Deconstruction of Human Sexuality, Craven specializes in the historic and cultural ramifications of pornography and provides rational and relevant ways to combat the sexualized culture; and
- Dan Panetti, Esq., vice president of Legal & Public Policy. Panetti is an authority on legislation such as the Child Online Protection Act and Child Internet Protection Act which help to safeguard children as they surf the Internet.
The National Coalition has been raising awareness of the harms of pornography and its addictive nature since the organization's inception in 1983. However, the advent of the Internet has dramatically increased the proliferation of sexually explicit material by providing an anonymous, affordable and accessible way for people to distribute and view pornography.
Cyber Seduction will unveil the fictional life of a successful student and athlete, Justin Peterson, who finds himself addicted to Internet pornography by allowing his curiosity to turn into obsession.
